Opening Day at a Lake Tahoe ski resort is… well, picture this:
Throwing elbows for first chair, taking a deep inhale after realizing the site of the most beautiful alpine lake has taken your breath away, and dropping into the season’s (rusty) first turns. Adrenaline escalates, and before you can control it, you’re beelining to the bottom. Dogs and burgers are tossed on the ‘cue, their sweet aroma taunting the die-hards in the lift lines. Perhaps a little drinking (aka après ski – for the “pinkies up” type folks) will take place. Repeat. That is a taste of a Tahoe-style Opening Day.
