Alpine Meadows, Kirkwood announce 2009-2010 pass deals
Another Tahoe resort has joined the race for the best deals for 2009-2010 ski and snowboard passes at Lake Tahoe.
Alpine Meadows, located on Highway 89 between Truckee and Tahoe City on Lake Tahoe’s North Shore, will offer an adult limited (Sunday-Friday) pass for $299. Unlimited passes are also available. Details online.
Kirkwood, located on Highway 88 south of Lake Tahoe, is also selling value passes through its affiliate, Snowbomb.com, for $299. A limited number of Kirkwood Snowbomb passes are available for a limited time. Details online.

Video: Sierra ski and board conditions are ideal
What started as a meager ski season with a couple good early season storms and then a long, warm lull, has evolved into a powder-seekers dream in the Sierra Nevada. The last week has brought several feet of new snow to area ski resorts, and another storm system is expected through Christmas Day to add a couple more feet to the total.
What does all this mean? It means it is time to take advantage of discounted rates and book a ski trip to Reno-Tahoe. You’ll be glad you did …

It’s snowing in Tahoe …
